Inspired by a forward Emily received about a teacher that gave her first grade students the first half of well known proverbs and asked them to come up with the second half, Emily decided to try this on Monica and see what she would come up with. Here is the wisdom of my 5 year old grand-daughter.
The second line to each proverb is what Monica came up with.

Don't change horses
because they don’t need to be changed

It's always darkest before

you can't let go of the rope

‘cause it’s mean

You can't teach an old dog new

roll over

Love all, trust

An idle mind is
something to do

Where there's smoke there's
fire
12.
Happy the bride who
kisses
13. A penny saved is
more money
14. Don't put off till tomorrow what
you need to do
15. Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and
cheer up

Children should be seen and not
be disciplined

you’ll be in trouble

kiss (think she was going for the rhyming here!)
